Children’s Ministry

At Calvary Bible Church, our hope is for our children and youth to come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior, to cultivate a deep relationship with Him, and to ignite a lifelong passion for knowing and following Him. We strive to equip children to be mission-minded, empowering them to share the love of Christ with others.

Sunday Morning Activities

Gear Up Kids (Ages 0 - 5th Grade)

9:30 AM

Gear Up for kids is Calvary Bible Church’s version of Sunday School, where younger children gather upstairs in the preschool hall for engaging playtime, singing, and lessons, while elementary children meet downstairs, exploring the Bible chronologically through a blend of Answers in Genesis and Child Evangelism Fellowship curriculums.

Little Church (Ages 0 - 5)

10:30 AM

At Calvary Bible Church, we provide a loving environment for our youngest attendees, beginning with delightful playtime in their classrooms. At 11:05 AM, the children gather in the Little Church room for a joyful worship experience and an engaging Bible lesson created just for them. We use Answers and Genesis curriculum as a base, then differentiate & supplement to meet their specific needs. After the lesson, the little ones head back to their classrooms for snack time and continued play. Parents have the option to bring their children into the service or check them into Little Church at any point during the service.

Children's Church (Grades K - 5th)

10:30 AM

Elementary aged children enjoy a unique service designed just for them. When they arrive, they are warmly welcomed and have the opportunity to engage in relaxed playtime. At 11:00 AM, the kids transition to the gym or outdoors for fun games. Afterward, they gather back in the Children’s Church room for worship and enriching Bible lessons. Our teachings are rooted in the Answers in Genesis elementary curriculum, which we thoughtfully enhance and adapt to cater to their specific needs. Following the large group Bible lesson, children and leaders split into smaller groups to delve into discussions about the lesson and share prayer requests.

Wednesday Evening Activities

Awana 6:25 PM – 8:00 PM

Awana is a fun approach to making the Bible alive and relevant with caring trained leaders who invest time, love and wisdom into shaping children’s lives. While kids are having fun together each Wednesday night, they’re learning about Jesus and growing in their faith in Him, too. They learn Bible verses and spiritual truths. They encounter life lessons that feed their soul. They participate in games and activities that train their bodies.
