Welcome to the Membership Process!

Membership at Calvary is a meaningful step that reflects a mutual commitment—your commitment to the life and mission of the church, and Calvary’s commitment to support and walk alongside you in that journey. By becoming a member, you’re joining in our biblical mission to make disciples, and in turn, we commit to equipping you with the training, support, and resources needed to live that out faithfully.

Our membership process helps our leaders care well for the Calvary community and foster a strong, unified church family. We invite prospective members to follow the steps outlined below. This process is designed to cultivate a congregation that is spiritually grounded, missionally focused, and committed to honoring God while sharing the hope of the gospel with others.

Step One

Starting Point

Each time the course is offered, it is divided into a three-week session. Each class meets immediately following the service and lasts approximately 15–20 minutes.

  • Week One explores who we are as a church.

  • Week Two focuses on discovering your unique identity and calling as an individual.

  • Week Three helps you identify where you can serve and make an impact—both within the church and in the world around you.

Step Two

Get to Know Us 

Please take time to thoughtfully read and review our doctrinal statement, constitution, and by-laws to gain a clear understanding of our core beliefs and organizational structure. For further guidance, refer to Appendices C and H in your Starting Point handbook.

Step Three

Apply

When you’re ready to take the next step, simply fill out a membership application. You can download and print a copy using the link provided, or stop by the church office to pick one up. Once completed, feel free to drop it off at the office whenever it’s convenient for you—we’re excited to walk this journey with you!

Step Four

Meet With Our Elders

Once you turn in your membership application to the church office, we will contact you in return with a time to meet with our Elders. As part of the membership process, you’ll have a chance to meet with two of our elders to share your testimony and talk about your faith journey. These friendly conversations usually take place after Sunday services and last about 30 minutes. To help you prepare, check out Appendix G in your Starting Point handbook for answers to common questions about membership. We’ll reach out to coordinate a time that works best for your schedule.
